Thank you for year 2017

Dear customer / partner

I would like to thank you for the past year, which was one of success for Gebwell. The biggest thanks for this goes to you! It was great to meet many of you, exchange opinions and get constructive feedback and ideas. I hope that we can maintain this connection in the coming years and you will continue to tell us how we can serve you even better.

As a demonstration of your trust, the results of last year’s customer satisfaction survey were the best in the history of the company. And, best of all, 97% of you, our customers, would recommend us to others. Thank you for your trust! However, we do not intend to remain satisfied with this – there is always room for improvement, and we intend to keep improving the quality of our service.

The past year in review

Last year, the Finnish construction and HVAC industries showed signs of revival, which also reflected on our results. We maintained a good position in the district heating substation market, and many new homes and buildings were heated by Gebwell substations.

In the heat pump business, heat pumps for buildings were the main driver of growth. Our recent investments in our accumulator product family also began to bear fruit. The market responded positively to our customer-oriented, high-quality, flexible product family.

At the end of the year, Pivaset Ltd was merged into Gebwell Ltd. Pivaset is the leading fire extinguishing brand in Finland, and our fire extinguishing products will continue to be sold under the Pivaset brand. The merger went smoothly, and the Pivaset range of products is a great fit with our selection.

Future prospects

Finland is genuinely starting to accept the reality of climate change. At the climate change summit held in Paris in early December, our Prime Minister presented four of Finland’s main measures to combat climate change, one of which is increasing the use of renewable energy to more than 50 percent in the 2020s.

In Finland, CO2 emissions generated by heating account for approximately one fourth of total emissions, so our industry has a significant role in the fight against climate change. When considering these matters, I think that Gebwell and its customers can look to the future with confidence – after all, we work with two of the most environmentally friendly heating methods: district heat and ground source heat.

I would like to thank you for 2017 and wish you success for 2018!
