Energy-efficient domestic hot water production

With a heat pump, you can also produce domestic hot water efficiently. G-Eco Core can generate supply water up to 75 °C, enabling effective hot water production even in demanding conditions – without the need for electric heaters.

RemoteControlG-EcoGreen

Smart control and remote monitoring

With the Gebwell Smart service, G-Eco heat pump operation can be monitored and controlled remotely, allowing system optimization and quick response to any irregularities.

Natural R290 refrigerant – more than 100,000 times more climate-friendly

R290 is a natural refrigerant that offers a significantly more environmentally friendly alternative compared to conventional refrigerants. The global warming potential (GWP) of R290 is only 0.02.

For comparison, the GWP of refrigerant R410A is 2,088 – meaning its climate impact when released into the environment is 100,000 times greater than that of R290.

Why is G-Eco the right choice for environmentally conscious people who want precision heating?

G-Eco heat pumps are our solution to the stricter F-Gas Regulation, which aims to limit the flow into the market of devices and products containing fluorinated greenhouse gases, which have a high GWP.

Environmentally friendly

Our G-Eco heat pumps use the natural R290 refrigerant, which has a GWP of just 0.02. The refrigerants are in the heat pump’s closed refrigeration circuit. However, even if it were to leak into the environment, R290 is much more environmentally friendly than the fluorinated gases traditionally used as refrigerants.

Lower GWP, lower climate impact

Over 100,000 times more climate-friendly

The climate impact of the R290 refrigerant is over 100,000 times lower than that of the conventional R410A refrigerant!

Our Gebwell G-Eco heat pumps use natural R290 refrigerant, which offers a significantly more environmentally friendly alternative compared to traditional refrigerants such as R410A.

The greatest advantage of natural R290 is its extremely low global warming potential (GWP) of only 0.02. Thanks to this significant difference, R290 is a popular choice for future-proof heat pumps. In addition, R290 operates at low working pressures, making it an excellent option for heat pump applications.

By choosing a G-Eco heat pump with R290 for your building, you’re making a sustainable decision that meets the demands of tomorrow.

A natural alternative without persistent harm

Switching to natural refrigerants like R290 also avoids harmful byproducts produced in the manufacturing of synthetic refrigerants. Many traditional F-gases are made through chemical processes that generate persistent and hazardous compounds, such as PFAS and other fluorinated substances. These so-called “forever chemicals” do not break down in nature and can end up in water systems and food chains. In contrast, R290 is a naturally occurring hydrocarbon that is readily available and whose production does not generate such toxins. By choosing R290, you reduce not only the emissions during use but also the environmental burden throughout the entire supply chain.

The F-gas regulation drives toward more sustainable solutions

Heat pump technology relies on the phase changes of refrigerants—from liquid to vapor and back—at different temperatures and pressures. Traditionally, synthetic F-gases have been used as refrigerants. However, the new F-gas regulation that entered into force in 2024 is phasing out the use of high-GWP F-gases in heat pumps due to their climate impact.

Our new Gebwell G-Eco® heat pumps for buildings offer an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient solution for both heating and cooling.
