G-Eco heat pumps use the natural refrigerant R290, which delivers excellent performance with minimal environmental impact. This choice supports sustainable development and complies with increasingly strict environmental regulations. Over 100,000 times smaller climate impact than that of the refrigerant R410A.
G-Eco heat pumps ensure powerful heating during cold winter days and pleasant cooling during summer heat. The system adapts to the building's needs, ensuring optimal indoor temperatures year-round. G-Eco is also well suited for renovation projects requiring higher temperatures.
With a heat pump, you can also produce domestic hot water efficiently. G-Eco Core can generate supply water up to 75 °C, enabling effective hot water production even in demanding conditions – without the need for electric heaters.
With the Gebwell Smart service, G-Eco heat pump operation can be monitored and controlled remotely, allowing system optimization and quick response to any irregularities.
EU regulation on heat pump refrigerants is becoming stricter step by step. For new systems, requirements will change in the coming years, and the choices made today can affect the lifetime, maintainability and value of the investment.
Too often, heat pump solutions are selected based only on the current situation – without looking far enough ahead to future regulatory changes.
This is why the right refrigerant choice is an important part of managing the risks of a heat pump investment.
G-Eco heat pumps use the natural refrigerant R290, which has a GWP of 0.02 and an ODP of 0. By comparison, the GWP of R410A refrigerant is 2,088. In terms of GWP, the climate impact of R290 is therefore more than 100,000 times lower than that of R410A.

At the new K-Supermarket in Siilinjärvi, waste heat from the store is utilized as an energy source for G-Eco heat pumps. The energy recycling system improves cost-efficiency, reduces energy consumption and supports sustainable heating solutions.
The energy recycling system at Mall of Tripla was upgraded with new G-Eco heat pumps. The aim was to improve energy efficiency, increase capacity and ensure reliable system operation.
Nokian Panimo brewery’s new logistics centre is heated with geothermal energy. The G-Eco heat pump solution was selected to provide low-emission and energy-efficient heating from the early design phase of the project.
At Kämmenniemi School in Tampere, oil heating was replaced with geothermal heating. The new solution, implemented with G-Eco heat pumps, provides sustainable and energy-efficient heating for the school and daycare centre.
G-Eco heat pumps are suitable, for example, for heating large residential properties, such as terraced houses and apartment buildings, as well as public buildings and commercial and industrial properties.
