Gebwell equipment plays a central role in a unique energy center
Kotka Kampuskortteli, situated in Kotka’s downtown area, features an innovative energy center recognized as “the first of its kind in Finland.” The facility demonstrates an integrated approach that combines district heating, heat pump technology, and energy recycling systems within a single building structure.
The energy recycling concept operates by transferring thermal energy between different sections of the building. For instance, heat absorbed by sun-exposed areas can be redirected to shaded portions of the building, maximizing efficiency.
Gebwell successfully supplied district heat distribution centers and energy storage accumulators manufactured in Leppävirta to support this groundbreaking installation.
