Gebwell Appoints a New CEO – Martti Artama Takes the Lead

Martti Artama has been appointed as the new CEO of Gebwell, a company specializing in environmentally friendly and energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions for buildings. Artama transitions into the role from his position as a member of the company’s board of directors and assumes his new responsibilities immediately. He succeeds Keijo Anttila, who has been relieved of his duties as CEO.

Gebwell has solidified its position as a strong player in the domestic market. The company now aims to strengthen its profitability and pursue growth on an international scale.

“This change is natural as we found an experienced professional directly from our board. Artama has a strong background in business development and international growth—skills we need at this stage,” says Anssi Lehikoinen, Chairman of Gebwell’s Board.

Artama brings extensive experience, particularly from the automation and engineering industries. He has previously served as CEO of Cimcorp, a manufacturer of automation systems for the tire industry, and Hollming Works, an engineering company, as well as Chief Operating Officer at Marine Alutech, a boat manufacturing company. Additionally, he has served on the boards of companies across various industries.

“Gebwell’s strategy for its next phase includes pursuing growth in international markets. We wanted a CEO with solid international experience, expertise in product development, and the ability to lead a product-driven company,” Lehikoinen adds.

Founded in 2006, Gebwell manufactures district heating substations, heat pumps, energy storage units, and domestic water heaters. In addition to Finland, the company operates in Sweden and Poland.

Artama sees great potential within the company:
